Day 36: Bed Spread Confessions

Today I spent too much time wondering if I should change the dirty blanket on our bed since I know that Alice will just go out, come bursting through the door covered in mud, jump on the bed  and run  around and around as I try to calm her enough so that she can even hear the command I am giving.  It's a vicious cycle. Our bed will be dirty. Should I give into it and leave the dirty blanket on the bed or should I just change the bed spread each and every day?

Fuck that!, I thought suddenly. We just need to train that bitch to stay off the damned bed! (Sidenote: I love being able to legitimately call that bitch a bitch.) This is my house after all! None of these little creatures who live here are in charge - it's me. I'm in charge.

With a sigh of relief I set out to research teaching dogs to stay off the bed.

But, I thought, if I don't let Alice in our bed I will never see this

Or see Trixie and Alice just chillin' and pickin'.

Or this granny square (sorry, I had to slip her in somewhere).

Or hanging out on a lazy afternoon

What about nap time?

Yep, nap time is the best.
So, I guess we'll have to live with a frequently dirty bed spread.
